Joseph E. Crook, Jr. Was Stricken With Heart Trouble

When the Salt Lake Route's Tintic passenger train pulled into Eureka on Monday morning it carried the body of Joseph E. Crook, Jr., a former resident of this city who had been engaged in hauling ore from the Sharp Mine in Tooele county.  Mr. Crook's death took place at about midnight on Sunday and the end came without warning.  Together with his wife and one son he had been making his home near the Sharp property and Mr. Crook was directing teaming work in that locality where he has contracts for hauling ore and supplies.  He ate a hearty meal on Sunday night and after attending to his teams retired for the night, at midnight Mrs. Crook was awakened.  She found her husband suffering from a pain in the neighborhood of his heart and a few.... When the body was brought to Eureka it was turned over to Undertaker A..Wallace and the following morning shipment was made to Santaquin where the Crook family lived before coming to this city.  Burial took place in that city.
Deceased was 55 years of age and leaves...his wife and five grown children, many other relatives, his father being a resident of Payson.
